I've never noticed that even relatively realistic games don't get the sound of a bow quite right. Skyrim is satisfying but still stylized and not quite right. The release of a recurve bow is going to be barely perceptible at all. The arrow in flight makes no sound, no wooshing, nothing. All of the emphasis really needs to be on the strike, and that's going to be totally different depending on what you struck.

I divide survival games into 2 categories Survival adjacent Ark 7 days Minecraft Terraria In these games you quickly go from surviving to thriving, survival is not necessarily the main focus Then there's True survival Stranded deep The long dark Games where you never thrive, you merely try to survive, day by day I don't prefer one over the other, but I have gained a large appreciation for games like SD and TLD

every other game : here some wood or titanium now build a giant base long dark : best i can do is a snow shelter which become your tomb in 3 in game hours.

Something I love about TLD is how it can surprise you even when you've got a couple hundred hours or more in. I was hunting the bear in timberwolf mountain, trying to lure it closer to the cabin by walking backward across the lake while it followed. As I did, I could feel my heartbeat starting to increase and it got to the point where it was pounding so hard it was hurting. I had to pause the game, lean back and say out loud "I'm playing a Game. Calm down." and physically sit there and wait for my pulse to settle before i went back in. And I was playing in a well lit interior in the middle of the day. And i think any game that can do that, in the first hour or the one hundredth hour, deserves high praise.

Forget zombies. Nothing is scarier than walking towards a lonely cabin while freezing and starving to death and hearing a wolf growl on your right and turning just in time to see it charge you

This game is really good the worse thing about the game was the DLC with spiderman the swinging wasnt good

This was one of my first PS4 games and I absolutely loved it, I’m currently replaying it.

I may finally buy this in steam. I've almost purchased this several times before and have always gotten cold feet thinking it may be just a boring walking simulator. Guess I'll have to find out.

Out of all the survival games I played, I played this last and I'm happy I did. It's truly a remarkably unique experience.

This is a great game. I don't know if it is underrated as much as it is/was overlooked.

Defo the best horde zombie shooter iv played I’m grinding out the last two trophies for platinum. I can’t get enough of the silky smooth shooting

Personally I think the story is rubbish , but survival mode is amazing! Must have at least 1000 hours on interloper

Awesome video and I love this game. I actually started with remnant 2 then while waiting for dlc2 I picked up remnant 1 and I'm hooked on it as well. Amazing series and everything I want from a game. I play solo and love it.

900 days on my current save, this game is definitely my favoeite game i ever seen i couldnt get into games like subnautica or stranded deep thry were too hard but this game is great And nothing in a game is greater than coming back to your base stocked with loot after a long journey of suffering for months on end out in the wilderness

Compare the voice acting of this game with that of Ghost Recon Breakpoint... it is night and day. The voice acting in this game brings an extra level of immersion into this game. It is a detail I truly appreciated. And it wasn't just a few characters, every character was well voiced. This comes down to the direction as well as the acting.

I have enjoyed this game immensely, in fact, I rank it up there with some of the other Zombie greats like L4D2 and Resident Evil. I think the horde play is unique and fresh, though the game mechanis in many respects are not new, and are used in games elsewhere, what they have done is done well.

One of my FAVORITE parts of the game is the journal, where you get a space to write for each day. I love making journal entries with my experiences as if it were really happening. It helps me immerse myself and understand how I would think if I were really there.

I think I have played TLD ever since it first became early access on steam. Been coming back again and again ever since. Theres just nothing like it. And it gets better and better.

This game has taken me into its enchantment. It is so easy to get fully enveloped in it. Thank you for the video!

The attachments should have been unlocked through leveling guns and the game needed a hoard mode. Not sure why they put a shitty pvp mode instead of hoard.

Ah I remember finding this game way back in 2015 and pirated a beta version of it. I remember sitting in my cabin while listening to the wind and the crackle of the fire. Playing it during the school hours was just ah nice. I did eventually buy it years after I had the money but maybe I should go back to it. I would recommend praey for the gods in terms of games to play. its a survival simulator hiding behind a Shadow of the Colossus veil. You might like it.

I totally recommend you "The Unreal World". 100% It's a very old game with 2d basic graphics (even Link's Awakening on Game Boy in black and white looks better), but still in development, and it's almost the ultimate open world survival game.
